It is completely made of high-quality martensitic steel. This type of steel has a high carbon and chromium content, the main advantage is its superior toughness and hardness, which guarantees an extended service life.<\/p>\n<p>The heat treatment of the braking surface is the same as that used on superbikes, so when competing in circuit races pilots can brake consistently and powerfully throughout the entire race.<\/p>\n<p>This model is floating, which of course looks pretty cool, but also has various advantages. With floating brake discs, the braking force is distributed about 30% more evenly than with normal discs, which results in better brake response and more even brake pad wear. The brake disc is fitted with orange anodized floaters made of 7075 T6 aluminium, whose strength is comparable to steel, but weighs much less.<\/p>\n<p>This disc can also be <strong>used as a floating rear brake disc for Yamaha Aerox<\/strong>. For this purpose, we recommend combining it with the <a href=\"\/en\/product\/adapter-rear-brake-disc-stage6-r-t-yamaha-aerox-jog-284470\">Stage6 R\/T rear hub<\/a>, which, unlike the original hub, fits directly without the need for any adjustments.<\/p>\n<h3>Advantages of the Stage6 floating brake disk:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Increased and constant braking performance<\/strong> even under extreme conditions<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excellent heat distribution<\/strong> and limited expansion and warping at high temperatures<\/li>\n<li><strong>Less wear<\/strong> on the brake pads<\/li>\n<li><strong>Better handling and more grip<\/strong> when braking in corners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For optimum performance, we recommend fitting a new pair of <a href=\"\/en\/brake\/brake-pads-and-shoes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brake pads<\/a> when mounting your new Stage6 disc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Brake discs can vary depending on model, year, and brake system manufacturer.
