The brake pads for drum brakes from Stage6 are available in 2 versions: Sport pads in plain black and Racing pads in sporty orange. Also available for Peugeot 103 and Puch Maxi. The Stage6 Racing brake pads are high-end brake pads that guarantee very good braking deceleration thanks to high-quality materials. Long indentations across the entire tread ensure good self-cleaning. The great advantage of these brake shoes is the pressure point that lasts over the race distance, which is only minimally increased compared to other manufacturers. The high-quality sports brake shoes from Stage6 can be used as HQ replacements for the OEM brake shoes. They impress with their outstanding braking performance and high durability. The pads are very quiet and reduce wear.
STAGE6 BRAKE TECHNOLOGY
STAGE6 R/T
Stage6 and the Stage6 R/T racing department offer high-quality fixed brake discs and floating brake discs plus an adapter hub for floating brake discs.
All brake discs are made of high-quality martensitic steel with superior hardness and a correspondingly long service life. The heat treatment of the braking area is the same as used on superbikes, so that when competing in circuit races pilots can brake consistently and powerfully throughout the entire race.
The fixed/rigid brake discs offer excellent heat dissipation and therefore reduced “warping” of the disc. The discs offer maximum reliability and maximum braking power – high-end brake discs that are suitable for racing use, but can also be used for everyday riding.
The floating brake discs from Stage6 R/T not only look great, they also offer various advantages. With floating brake discs, braking force is distributed approx. 30% more evenly than with standard rotors, which results in better brake response and more even wear of the brake pads. The brake disc is fitted with orange anodized bearing rings made of 7075 T6 aluminium, whose strength is comparable to steel, but weighs much less.
The Stage6 R/T adapter hub for floating rear brake discs (Minarelli scooters) allows for installing floating brake discs, which is normally not possible as the floaters touch the hub.
STAGE6 R/T
High-end Stage6 R/T CNC brake pump with adjustable brake lever. Milled from solid, black anodized handbrake pump from Stage6, designed for tuned engines and racing applications: compact, powerful and easy to install. Braking force, pressure point and modulation redefined thanks to 14.5mm piston diameter. Lever width adjustment for individual setting (wheel on the lever itself and small screw on the brake cylinder). The integrated reservoir is positioned at a slight angle; this has the advantage that the brake master cylinder can be lowered or removed without having to empty the reservoir. In addition, a screw nipple enables simple bleeding from the outside. The lever is equipped with a special low-friction ball bearing. This improves the brake feel – solid and smooth, zero sponginess, with excellent brake modulation. In addition, the overall braking performance is increased, resulting in shorter braking distances and improved vehicle control. Ideal in combination with the two and four-piston brake callipers from Stage6 R/T and a steel flex line.
Note: As this is a racing article, the brake pumps do not have any connections for brake lights or similar.
STAGE6
Stage6 brake pads are available in 2 versions: the organic sport pads for everyday use and the sintered pads for sport and competition. The Stage6 RACING brake pads are the ideal choice for those who like it a little faster, but do not want to sacrifice safety and hard braking.
The sintered metal brake pads are characterized by excellent braking performance and a very direct response, which enables fast and hard braking, even at high speeds and in sub-optimal conditions (wet etc.) The powerful and versatile brake pads ensure noticeably improved braking performance right from the start. The Stage6 SPORT pads were primarily developed for city traffic and daily use and guarantee a long service life and optimum braking performance. The powerful and versatile brake pads provide noticeably improved braking performance right from the start, the brake pads do not need to be warmed up to deliver optimum performance. All brake pads have a KBA number and are therefore legal for use on the road!
STAGE6 R/T
Stage6 R/T Racing 4-piston brake caliper MK2 – the new and improved MK2 version of the popular Stage6 R/T Racing brake caliper. Available in Orange, Black and Hard Anodized (extra scratch resistant).
The MK2 brake calipers are also available as a kit with HQ Racing brake pads from Stage6 R/T.
The main focus in the further development of the Stage6 R/T 4-piston brake caliper was on increased rigidity and optimized free movement of the pistons. User-friendliness has also been significantly improved through the use of an additional venting screw. The new design also provides a 20% larger friction surface on the brake pads.
To provide additional support for the brake pistons, Stage6 developed a special return spring that returns the brake pistons to their resting position directly after braking. The result is maximum wheel freedom when the brake lever is in its home position.
– Brake caliper 4-piston radial CNC-machined from high-strength 6061 aluminum
– 25mm CNC stainless steel brake piston
– 20% larger friction surface on the brake pads compared to MK1
– Special piston return spring for maximum clearance of the rim
– Separate bleed screw at the rear of the caliper for easier bleeding
