CVT SPORT PRO

CVT Stage6 Sport PRO, high quality variator for optimized power transmission and improved shifting behavior.

The CVT is basically designed for use with a 50cc cylinder in conjunction with a Stage6 ProReplica exhaust. However, it can also be used with Stage6 Sport Pro / Streetrace or similar 70cc sport cylinders.

The back of the variator and the roller tracks are hard-coated, the running surface however has no coating. Thus, the durability of the running surface is shortened, but you’ll get a much better performance due to the increased friction.

The CVT comes with sleeve, bonded coated ramp plate, a set of weights and a Stage6 torque spring.

You can also get the Sport Pro variator as a complete kit with Sport Pro clutch and Sport Pro V-belt. The components of this pack fit perfectly together, so you don’t have to worry about compatibility and possible alternatives. Top performance, high reliability and a fair price – great!

STAGE6 R/T

OVERSIZE CVT

CVT Stage6 R/T Oversize. Enlarged “oversize” CVT systems have become popular for race engines since they extend the range of the transmission and provide improved power transmission.

The Stage6 R/T CVT has redesigned roller tracks optimized for R/T engines – the result is a smooth and even shifting throughout the entire range. The angles are CNC precision machined, the centre area of the ramp plate was reinforced and the sintered bushing provides makes for optimal lubrication.

The Stage6 R/T Oversize Vario is also available as a kit with the matching Stage6 R/T Oversize torque driver and Oversize V-belt.

If that’s not enough, there’s also the complete drive kit with oversize variator, torque drive, V-belt, contra spring plus clutch with clutch bell and clutch springs. The perfect pack for owners of tuned machines who want to expand the shifting range via an oversize system.

OVERSIZE TORQUE DRIVE

Torque Drive Stage6 R/T Oversize Torque Boost, suitable for R/T Oversize CVT as well as other Oversize CVTs.

Unlike most torque drives on the market that are made of steel, the Stage6 Oversize drive is made from lightweight HQ aluminium. It consists of two forged halves that are screwed to a guide piece.The pulley halves are CNC-machined for ultimate precision, which is especially important for surface angles.

Special attention is paid to ensure ideal surface roughness, as this has a major influence on shifting characteristics. A special ceramic coating preserves surface characteristics for extended life expectance and optimum grip.

Other advantages of the modular system include reduced heat generation, significantly lower weight and the replaceability of individual components.

The CVT is supplied with a guide bushes with two angles of 38/41°. Optional bushes with 39/42° and 37/40° are also available. This way you can opt for a different guide bushing with different slots for different pulley opening angles and speed.

CNC PULLEY

Drive Face Pulley Stage6 CNC RACING Drive, Racing pulley with optimized angle.

Original pulleys are usually made from cast or – even worse – pressed steel. When cooling down after production, the discs haven’t found their final shape yet and the drive face angles end up slightly different. Since racing engines have a very narrow power band, these tolerances have direct, usually negative consequences on performance.

In contrast, the Stage6 drive faces are CNC-cut for highest precision. The high quality aluminium alloy and a special low-friction surface coating make cooling fins unnecessary. The pulley is lighter than the stock part, so your CVT will perform better and more power will be transmitted to the rear wheel. This racing drive was actually developed for drag races, but is very commendable for regular racing bikes as well.

V-BELT

The Stage6 PRO V-belt is a high quality V-belt manufactured by Bando in Japan. The optimized grip ensures better power transmission.

The Stage6 Maxidrive V-belts were developed specifically for maxiscooters and are suitable for use with tuning CVTs.

Stage6 has developed a high-quality Kevlar fiber-reinforced oversize V-belt for oversize CVT systems, with very good performance and, thanks to a unique compound, very good grip.

TORQUE SPRING

Torque spring from Stage6 R/T (Racing Team), specially developed for the R/T tuning CVT.

When using the Stage6 R/T CVT you don’t need very hard contra springs. That’s why Stage6 developed these softer springs to ensure an optimal, smooth transmission.

You can also get a spring kit with 3 torque springs in different strengths.

CVT WEIGHTS AND TUNING KITS

Stage6 CVT roller weights in a pack of 6, available in different weights and sizes.

The high-quality coated precision weights were developed and tested under the most demanding conditions on the race track.

The result is long-lasting CVT weights made of highly durable plastic. Depending on the weight and size, the inserts are either made of aluminum, copper or plastic (orange). The Stage6 weights are extremely precise with minimal tolerances of less than 0.05g.

VARIOCONTROL SHIMS

CVT Shims Stage6 Variocontrol x32 to fine-tune your variator and improve performance.

Setting up variator and clutch is important for optimal shifting characteristics and excellent acceleration. In order to match the variator to the drive belt width and thus obtain excellent acceleration, you will need these washers.

These little washers sit between the fixed drive pulley and the sleeve and move the pulley further out, how far depends on the shim you’re using.

You’ll probably have to try different sizes to find the optimal setting, but once you get it you’ll be amazed at how much a perfectly tuned CVT can improve performance. It is definitely worth the effort!
