Stage6 R/T 70cc cylinder Piaggio LC
Stage6 R/T 70cc Cylinder Kit MKI Piaggio NRG / Runner, top-of-the-range “Hyper Racing” kit with a 47.6mm diameter (70cc) developed by Stage6’s R/T department (“Racing/Team”) for Piaggio / Gilera LC.
The kit includes:
- Nikasil-plated Aluminium Cylinder with 6 transfer ports and a bridged exhaust port
- HQ Piston with extra thin piston ring
- High-Compression Modular Cylinder Head (anodised orange)
- R/T Exhaust Flange + Adapter Plate
- R/T Cylinder Spacer / Adapter Plate, ground-breaking new design
Innovative assembly Stage6 cylinder
The special adapter plate bolts to the engine case, the cylinder is mounted via external bolts so that there are no bolts cutting through the cylinder; this new design opens up all kinds of options for tuners to modify and optimize their engine (porting) without being subject to the usual restrictions. A Viton O-ring seal between adapter plate and cylinder makes future readjustments unnecessary.
Performance Stage6 70cc cylinder
Regarding performance, the Stage6 R/T 70cc Cylinder Kit MKI Piaggio NRG / Runner reaches 20 to 22hp and can easily be placed among the top 70cc high-end racing kits on the market. The thermal properties are excellent – the combustion chamber is bolted to the cylinder at five points, each coming with its own cooling pocket. These highly critical areas are thus stabilized and the risk of piston seizure is minimized.
Notes on installation
The 70cc cylinder must be fitted with an 85mm long stroke crankshaft, we recommend the Stage6 crankshaft. The crankcase must be opened up a little to make room for the cylinder base (D. = 56.1mm +/- 0.1mm, 10mm deep). A manual is included.
The cylinder fits only on the Stage6 R/T exhaust for Piaggio without further modifications due to the angle deviating from the original.
