STAGE6

SPORT MK2 – 50cc | 70cc

Cylinder Stage6 Sport 70cc. The first generation Sport MK1 cylinders became very popular among scooter tuners, then Stage6 took things to the next level and introduced the successor, the Sport MKII.

The Stage6 Sport cylinders are available for 50cc scooters (Piaggio, Minarelli; CPI) as well as 50cc supermotos (AM6, Derbi).

The cylinder was completely redesigned; 6 instead of 5 transfer ports ensure optimized cylinder filling. The oval exhaust remained but was optimized as well. The head is a one-piece unit with cast scavenging canals for better heat dissipation. The piston is a replica of the R/T piston, with a domed piston crown and 0.8 mm thick piston ring to optimise performance and improve thermal stability.

The cylinder delivers 2 to 3 hp more power than the MK1, between 14-17 hp, without any additional modifications and in combination with the corresponding components. Maximum performance and outstanding robustness – we are sure that this cylinder will set new standards in the tuning scene.

The 50cc version of the Sport Pro cylinder is a street to midrace cylinder with 2 piston rings, with a large volume cooling system so that engine can be cooled efficiently while riding.

BIG RACING – 77cc | 88cc

Stage6 has dedicated itself to the development of high-performance tuning parts and are also developing tuning cylinders for 50cc motorcycles with Derbi or AM6 engine for some time. The Stage6 Big Racing is avalable as a 77cc and a 88cc version.

It is a genuine “Big Bore” cylinder – cylinder layout is not based on a modified standard model that was milled open to create a bigger bore, but was designed as a Big Bore right from the start, with matching transfer ports and a bridged exhaust port big enough to support the excess performance.

Port timings are relatively low, cooling system volume is quite large and the piston is a top quality Vertex piston. All of these factors contribute to the cylinder’s high dependability and robustness, provided that set-up and adjustments are appropriate.

STREETRACE – 50cc | 70cc | 77cc | 88cc

The Streetrace is a lower-priced version the popular Sport Pro aluminium cylinder. The reliable cast iron cylinder is produced for numerous scooter engines such as Piaggio and Minarelli in a 50cc and a 70cc version, as well as for 50cc supermotards with AM6 or Derbi engine in a 77cc and an 88cc version.

Transfer port layout with 6 ports plus 1 simple exhaust port is basically identical to the more powerful 70cc Sport Pro kit, it was slightly modified to meet the thermal requirements of a cast iron cylinder. The cylinder comes with a high quality 2-ring Vertex piston and a HC cylinder head.

The power output is a good deal higher than the standard cylinder; depending on the engine, setup and displacement, you can get up to 12 hp. The performance speed is approx. 10,000 rpm.

We recommend using a tuning exhaust. The cylinder looks unobtrusive and similar to the stock part.

STAGE6 R/T

STAGE6 R/T RACING – 70cc | 100cc

From racing experts Stage6 R/T: 70cc and 95cc racing cylinder as well as a 100cc FL cylinder for tuning crankcases.

One of the really groundbreaking features of the cylinder Stage6 R/T 70cc is the installation via a spacer / adapter plate. The special adapter plate bolts to the engine case, the cylinder is mounted via external bolts so that there are no bolts cutting through the cylinder. This new design opens up all kinds of options for tuners to modify and optimize their engine (porting) without being subject to the usual restrictions. A Viton O-ring seal between adapter plate and cylinder makes future readjustments unnecessary.

Regarding performance, the Stage6 R/T 70cc Cylinder Kit MKI Piaggio NRG / Runner reaches 20 to 22hp. The thermal properties are excellent – the combustion chamber is bolted to the cylinder at five points, each coming with its own cooling pocket. These highly critical areas are thus stabilized and the risk of piston seizure is minimized.

The cylinder Stage6 R/T 100cc FL for Malossi C-One / RC-One is a top-of-the-line high-end racing cylinder.

The kit is designed for use with a flange mount crankcase such as 2Fast Passion, Malossi C-One, Malossi RC-One, Polini P.R.E. and TPR Factory. This combination of high-end engine parts and matching housing will allow setting new records and testing and exceeding limits; this kit is clearly part of the next generation of racing scooters.

The output of this Stage6 R/T FL 100cc engine is definitely out of this world, and it is very reliable as well. The out of the box performance is already enourmous with over 37hp, but as usual the Stage6 R/T tuning pros have left enough space and material in the cylinder so more ambitious tuners can tease out even more power.

STAGE6 RACING – 70cc

Cylinder Stage6 Racing 70cc MK2. The successor of the successful Stage6 70cc racing cylinder is called Stage6 Racing MKII 70cc and was completely redesigned for even better out of the box performance.

The cylinder with high-strength hard chrome bore plating was completely redesigned. A new transfer port design (6 instead of 5 ports) improves cylinder filling. The piston is no longer flat but domed, with a 0.8 mm thick piston ring to optimise performance and improve heat dissipation.

Thermal properties were improved in all areas. Generous flushing of the bridged exhaust port; a pentagonal design and internal cooling ribs; one-piece head with cast scavenging canals – to name but a few of the improvements. Port timings are 190°-130°.

The cylinder yields 2 to 3 hp more power than the MK1, between 17-19 hp, without any additional modifications and in combination with the corresponding components. There is enough material for further modifications to get the cylinder above 20 hp. Definitely one of the most powerful 70cc kits on the market!
